Live out a Legend : MMORPG let ordinary people become extraordinary

As time passes i seem to realize that many gamers becoming more realistic. I think this is a wonderful aspect and accomplishment for many talented people. Merging fantasy and reality has granted us humans a way of entering out our own dreams.
Howmany times have we seen an epic where the main character pulls the sword out of a stone? This particular fable originated on Old Britain when mythical King Arthur drew his blade - Excalibur. Another example is that of FFVII's Sephiroth and Golems found in FF series and most of the MMORPGs, etc. The name Sephiroth refers to a complex mystical belief of the Jew, where God is divided into pieces, and in order to achieve holiness, a man must pass through the test ( called Sephiroth ) of God. Golems come from the same religion. There is an ancient mystical book called Kabbalah. There it is written that golem can be created from earth for protection.
The examples go on, but what's the point? Its that I love MMORPG, because they let me live out legends and give me adventure by mixing reality and myth. And that's what's so cool.

If all game features of PW were to be nerfed (or deleted) and you were the one who would decide a single feature to keep, you would keep (what)? And why?

I will definitely keep the High Detail Character Customization feature.

-Is it because even the game lacks most the important features of the game. Its is really fun and exciting to create a character that matches your personality, mood and style, this unique feature allows to even customize a character from head to toe that can be able to turn like me or with some resemblance to myself using a slider system which is so cool.
Being simply unique to others is one of the greatest achievement a gamer wanting to earn, And by simply at Character creation screen I will achieve being different and unique even I am just starting playing PW, without breaking a neck the excitement seeing the result is overwhelming.

Before we begin, I’d like to thank everyone for participating in my first-ever Perfect World CBT contest. Congratulations to the winners. Just to be clear, I’ve already told yah all how to claim your prizes, ok?

Now that we’ve put that behind us, let’s proceed to the second CBT offering with a few tweaks in the mechanics this time:

HOW TO JOIN
1. Open only to gamers residing in the Philippines (PW Philippines CBT is locked to our country, sorry)
2. If you already won at the first contest or at Waukster.com, then you are ineligible. Period.
3. Second, like before, to join the contest, you MUST *subscribe* to my blog via my Feedburner e-mail applet on my right sidebar. Be sure to *activate* your subscription. Inactive subscribers cannot win.
4. Now, it’s time to be creative. Instead of just simple questions, I’ll be throwing pretty hard “complete-me” phrases (or some equally “evil” brain teases). This will be posted everyday.
5. There will be three (3) winners everyday until the PW Closed Beta on March 28, 2007. Winners will be announced here regularly.
6. Instead of submitting to my email, you have to submit your answers to perfectworld@levelupgames.ph, the PW Team will randomly select the most creative answers and inform me ASAP. Before, it was submitting fast and being first… now, even if you’re late but you have a cool answer, you still have a chance of winning.

Perfect World Closed Beta Testing Moved!

Creating a Perfect World isn’t easy. It takes time to make sure that every blade of grass, every gust of wind, every drop of water is as perfect as it can get. Because a Perfect World is what players like you deserve.

That’s why we at Level Up are taking the time to make sure that we can deliver on our promise of a Perfect World. And though we are as itching as much as you guys are to give this baby a test drive, we have realized that the proper localization of the game client will entail more time than we initially anticipated.

The need for more time is partlydue to the fact that the game is huge; in fact, it’s so huge that we ourselves were overwhelmed with the expansive content needing translation.
However, this unexpected change of schedule for the internal testing of Perfect World by assigned players will not greatly affect the open beta period which we previously committed.

It was a difficult decision to make, yet a decision that needed to be made. Instead of a half translated game with features that may not be fully playable, we are giving you a thoroughly-tested one, with the guarantee of total enjoyment, at a slightly later date.

We will be announcing the updated schedule next week.

Great news! You can now experience the upcoming Level Up! game, Perfect World, by being part of our Closed Beta Testers!

Closed Beta Testers will have exclusive access to the game prior to the Public Open Beta and experience Perfect World first hand before we officially launch the game to all servers.

There are several ways to get this Perfect World privilege:

As a Cafe Owner

- We are looking for prospective cafes to test Perfect World! Level Up! will conduct a daily raffle for closed beta test accounts to give equal opportunity to other cafes.
- Each cafe will receive accounts proportionate to the number of seats.
- If you want your cafe to participate in the daily raffle for CBT test accounts, send an e-mail to perfectworld@levelupgames.ph with the subject “PW Cafe” along with the following information:
o Cafe Name
o Contact Details (Phone Number, E-Mail Address, Cafe Address)
o Contact Person
o Number of Seats/PC’s

- Cafe winners shall be informed via e-mail and on the website announcing the cafe name and address for players nearby to visit the Cafe and try Perfect World.

As a Clan
- If you are the Clan leader and would like a good number of your clan to participate, you can join simply by creating a thread in your clan forum boards and recruit prospective members in that thread or discuss anything about Perfect World.
- Send the thread URL link to perfectworld@levelupgames.ph with the subject PW Clan.
- We will select the most active thread and give a minimum of 10 CBT accounts to the winning Clan per day or half of the members who signed up in your thread in excess of 10.

As Individuals
- Create a blog site.
- Place a topic on Perfect World in your blog site.- Download the PW banner below and post it in your blog site with a link back to this page.
